Pavilion Progress Report on April 6th 2021
At the end of January the Parish Survey granted a mandate to the council to implement their plans for a Community Pavilion to replace the portacabins by the Bowls Club. The Parish Council have now formally appointed a “Community Pavilion Sub Committee” to oversee the development of this project. This comprises four councillors from the main P.C. committee. On March 29th the full committee formally appointed Mr David Holman as the architect for this project and he has started work immediately.
The first stage is to produce a working plan of the building in order to make a planning application to NKDC and we anticipate having this available by around mid-April. This plan is also essential for us to start the application process for funding assistance from various sources. The main stakeholders have been involved in the early discussions with the architect in order to arrive at a design that works for all parties.
There will be a further update to show the actual plans when they have been ratified by the full council.
