Cranwell, Brauncewell and Byard’s Leap Parish Council
Minutes of the Extraordinary meeting of Cranwell, Brauncewell and Byard's Leap Parish Council held at Cranwell Village Hall, Old School Lane, Cranwell Village, NG34 8DF on Friday 24 June 2022 at 7:00 pm.
Participating: Chairman: Cllr Mr T Batten
Councillors: Cllr Mr M Pears, Cllr Mrs M Cassidy, Cllr Mr M Cassidy, Mrs C Batten.
There were no Members of the public in attendance or any visiting County or District Councillors. The Chairman declared the meeting open at 7:00 pm.
115. To receive apologies for absence and reasons given i.a.w. Local Government Act 1972, Sch 12, para 40.
2 absences recorded.
Cllr Mark Collier on holiday – explained and accepted. Cllr Alice Holden – unexplained and noted.
116. To receive declarations of interest and to consider applications in relation to Disclosable Pecuniary Interests.
None received.
117. To consider the approval of the 2021/2022 – section 2 – AGAR Accounting Statements.
The fully completed form was presented for approval.
ACTION: Proposed by Cllr Michael Cassidy and Seconded by Cllr Maureen Cassidy that it be accepted, approved and submitted to the Auditor. Unanimous vote of approval.
118. (a) To agree to appoint a Quantity Surveyor for the Community Pavilion Project (fees to pay the Quantity Surveyor to be taken from the Pavilion Fund).
ACTION: Proposed to appoint by Cllr Trevor Batten, Seconded by Cllr Michael Cassidy. Unanimous vote of approval.
(b) If agreed, to consider which of the three Quantity Surveyors, who have provided quotes, to employ for the Community Pavilion Project.
Only two replies and quotations had been received from the three people who had been approached. One was for £500 and the other for £2,340 plus v.a.t..
ACTION: Proposed by Cllr Carole Batten that we appoint Nick Francis at a price of £500. Seconded by Cllr Michael Cassidy. Unanimous vote of approval.
The Chairman closed the meeting at 7.04 p.m.
