Dear Sir / Madam,
I hereby give you notice that the next Ordinary meeting for Cranwell, Brauncewell and Byard's Leap Parish Council will be held on Monday 8th September 2025 at Cranwell Village Hall, Old School Lane, Cranwell Village, NG34 8DF starting at 7 pm. Members of the press and public are welcome to attend.
All members of the Parish Council are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted at the meeting, as set out hereunder.

At 7 pm., before the meeting starts, there will be a public forum when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council on any agenda item. There will also be an opportunity for visiting Representatives to briefly address the assembly. All Parish Councillors are to attend at this time.
AGENDA
1. To receive apologies for absence and reasons given i.a.w. Local Government Act 1972, Sch 12, para 40.
2. To receive declarations of interest and to consider applications in relation to Disclosable Pecuniary Interests. Disclosure of pecuniary and non-pecuniary interests is to be in accordance with the Localism Act 2011. The need for disclosure is to be based upon agenda items, or at any suitable time during a meeting when it becomes apparent to a Member.
3. Notes of the Meeting of the Parish Council held on Monday 8th July 2025 to be approved as Minutes of the Meeting. (DG)
4. Financial Matters - All Councillors have a continuous opportunity to review everything on the Accounting system.
a. Approve the payments and receipts made since the last meeting. (LF) Attached Appendix A
b. Approve the payment of invoices etc. as listed on the “Payments to be Authorised” sheets (LF) Attached Appendix B
c. Approve the bank reconciliations as at 31.7.25 and 31.8.25 (LF) Attached
d. To review the latest Summary of “Reserves” balances. (LF) Attached
e. To review and approve the budgets -v- actual spreadsheet at 31.8.25 (LF) Attached.
f. Resolution to retrospectively approve payment to CAS Ltd Ansvar for Insurance at £2,196.15 for 3 year agreement – approved by email exchanges at the time. Total of 4 quotes were considered.
g. BT contract for Old School Broadband – contract renewed at £25.95 per month (currently £30.30 month) for 2 years – increasing by £3 per month on 1.4.26 and then 1.4.27.
h. Confirmation of clear External Audit received with no comments at all. Resolution to agree appointing our internal auditor through LALC – increase from £285 to £335 for the coming year. If we elect for two years the price remains the same and the auditor will stay the same.
5. Planning Applications:
25/0525 – retrospective application for pergola at 68 St Edmunds Road – approved.
25/0680 – 47 Edmunds Road – change of use of room to work therapy space – approved.
25/0932 – 28 No dwellings at land off Sycamore Road – to be discussed and a resolution as to PC response.
6. Report on all road safety and highways matters (DG):
DMMO/375 footpath alongside playing field to North Road – update by DG. Speed guns and signs are to be retained by Ruskington. Overhanging trees/hedges at North Road/Willow Lane – subject of an Enforcement Order so no further action can be taken.
7. Defibrillators – awaiting response from Fulbeck PC regarding Byards Leap defibrillator – their meeting is on 11/9/25. Update from SD regarding use of adult pads for children.
8. Village Hall – update regarding custodian ownership and any resolution required.
9. CCTV – Steve Furphy, who is Chair of the Social Club, has asked if he can be a nominated person on our CCTV policy so that he can look at the CCTV when required – it is stored in their office and if we have to access it, it requires asking a key holder to let us in as it is alarmed.
10. Play area and playing field: Any matters to consider.
Updates on volunteers painting equipment and S Riley Services painting surrounding fencing.
11. To receive reports from Councillors on their various Areas of Responsibility.
