Dear Sir / Madam,
I hereby give you notice that the next Ordinary meeting for Cranwell, Brauncewell and Byard's Leap Parish Council will be held on Monday 11th May 2026 at Cranwell Village Hall, Old School Lane, Cranwell Village, NG34 8DF starting at 7.15 pm. Members of the press and public are welcome to attend.
All members of the Parish Council are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted at the meeting, as set out hereunder.

At 7.15 pm., before the meeting starts, there will be a public forum when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council on any agenda item. There will also be an opportunity for visiting Representatives to briefly address the assembly. All Parish Councillors are to attend at this time.
AGENDA
1. To receive apologies for absence and reasons given i.a.w. Local Government Act 1972, Sch 12, para 40.
2. To receive declarations of interest and to consider applications in relation to Disclosable Pecuniary Interests. Disclosure of pecuniary and non-pecuniary interests is to be in accordance with the Localism Act 2011. The need for disclosure is to be based upon agenda items, or at any suitable time during a meeting when it becomes apparent to a Member.
3. Notes of the Meeting of the Parish Council held on Monday 13th April 2026 to be approved as Minutes of the Meeting. (AY)
4. Financial Matters - All Councillors have a continuous opportunity to review everything on the Accounting system.
a. Approve the payments and receipts made since the last meeting. (LF) Attached Appendix A
b. Approve the payment of invoices etc. as listed on the “Payments to be Authorised” sheet -Appendix B..
c. Approve the bank reconciliation as at 30.4.26 (LF) Attached
d. To review the latest Summary of “Reserves” balances. (LF) Attached
e. To review and approve the budgets -v- actual spreadsheet at 30.4.26. (LF) Attached.
f. Resolution as to whether to agree new electricity contracts (details attached).
g. To complete and resolve to sign the AGAR Annual Governance Statement 2025/6.
h. To resolve to sign the AGAR Accounting Statement for 2025/6.
i. Resolution to purchase a Fireproof Bag for the storage of our Minutes – recommendation by Internal Auditor. Cost £39.99 after researching appropriate size/capacity.
5. Planning Applications:
25/0932 – 28 No dwellings at land off Sycamore Road – pending consideration.
25/1377 – replacement bungalow at 21 Willow Lane – pending consideration.
25/1536 – Erection of new bungalow and double garage at rear of 20 Willow Lane – pending consideration.
26/0194 – Conversion of stone barns to 6 dwellings at Brauncewell – pending consideration.
26/0244 – Metering equipment at Land at Sewage Treatment Works, Flowerdown Avenue – prior approval not required.
26/0369 - Oak framed extension at Paling Cottage, Brauncewell – pending consideration.
Springwell Solar Farm been approved but Cllr Wright is questioning as to validity of the decision by the Secretary of State.
6. Road safety and highways matters - Monthly report by SD. Discussion and resolution with regard to Village Entrance Gates (SD). LCC volunteer service cleared 3 ginnels on 22nd April.
7. Village Hall and Social Club – resolution to submit first draft of Lease to Village Hall and Social Club with advice that they appoint a solicitor.
8. Village Green Christmas tree –update on preferred lights, and costings (SD).
9.Play area and playing field: update on new equipment (AY). Flickering light at end of footpath near play
area being repaired on 4th June. Play area painting of perimeter fence work in progress but just the field side
left to be done .
10.Noticeboard at Bristow Estate – Babcocks are kindly providing a new noticeboard and installing it. They will then give me a key to the new noticeboard.
11.Litter bins for Sleaford Road and Byards Leap – update from Cllr Boden.
12.Next PC meeting –Monday 8th June.
