Dear Sir / Madam,
 
I hereby give you notice that the next Ordinary meeting for Cranwell, Brauncewell and Byard's Leap Parish Council will be held on Monday 11th November 2024 at Cranwell Village Hall, Old School Lane, Cranwell Village, NG34 8DF                          starting at 7 pm.    Members of the press and public are welcome to attend.
All members of the Parish Council are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted at the meeting, as set out hereunder.

At 7 pm., before the meeting starts, there will be a public forum when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council on any agenda item.  There will also be an opportunity for visiting Representatives to briefly address the assembly.  All Parish Councillors are to attend at this time.   
 
AGENDA
 
1. To receive apologies for absence and reasons given i.a.w. Local Government Act 1972, Sch 12, para 40. 
2. To receive declarations of interest and to consider applications in relation to Disclosable Pecuniary Interests.   Disclosure of pecuniary and non-pecuniary interests is to be in accordance with the Localism Act 2011. The need for disclosure is to be based upon agenda items, or at any suitable time during a meeting when it becomes apparent to a Member.
3. Notes of the Meeting of the Parish Council held on Monday 14th October 2024 to be approved as Minutes of the Meeting. (DG)
4. Financial Matters - All Councillors have a continuous opportunity to review everything on the Accounting system.
a. Approve the payments made since the last meeting. (LF) Attached
b. Approve the payment of invoices etc. as listed on the “Payments to be Authorised” sheet. (LF) Attached
c. Approve the bank reconciliation as at 31.10.24 (LF) Attached
d. To review the latest Summary of “Reserves” balances.  (LF) Attached
e. To consider Grant application from Bowls Club for mower.
f. Resolution to accept budget as presented, to form basis of Precept required for 2025-2026. Previously circulated.
g. Thomas Dutton – discussion and resolution as to way forward.  [Clerk]
h. New dog bin in place and NK informed to empty on normal route.
i. Remembrance Sunday wreath purchased from British Legion (£50) – Chair attended Remembrance Day service.
j. Clerk’s appraisal taken place – agreed increase from SCP 19 £15.48 to SCP 20 £16.37 from and including November pay and back pay for increase in rate by NALC from April 2024 (total £288.30).
5. Planning Applications:  24/0970 – RAF – new fire doors – pending consideration.   24/1089- RAF replacement radiators – pending consideration.   24/1244 – Land to east of 48 Sleaford Road – tree works – no objections.
6. Cabin cladding now complete.  Resolution to use remaining cladding to create a fence either side of the cabins to the hedgeline - £873.54 labour and fence posts.
7. Report on all road safety matters per DG.
8. Play area: new swing seats installed [thanks to DG for actioning]. First of twice-yearly inspections by Sovereign Play to take place week commencing 18/11/24.
9. Grass cutting contract: Clerk spoken with contractor.  He will collect excessive grass next year if required.   Also asked not to strim round young trees.
10. Carols on the Green – update on final arrangements – date for Christmas lights to go on tree.
11. Christmas dinner – booked for Wednesday 18th December – 7 pm at The Red Lion, Caythorpe.
12. Consider response to consultation for remote meetings and proxy voting (already circulated).
13. To receive reports from Councillors on their various Areas of Responsibility.  
14. Next PC meeting - Monday 9th December at 7.00 p.m (precept to be finalized).
