Dear Sir / Madam,
 
I hereby give you notice that the next Ordinary meeting for Cranwell, Brauncewell and Byard's Leap Parish Council will be held on Monday 10th June 2024 at Cranwell Village Hall, Old School Lane, Cranwell Village, NG34 8DF                          starting at 7 pm.    Members of the press and public are welcome to attend.
All members of the Parish Council are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted at the meeting, as set out hereunder.

At 7 pm., before the meeting starts, there will be a public forum when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council on any agenda item.  There will also be an opportunity for visiting Representatives to briefly address the assembly.  All Parish Councillors are to attend at this time.   
 
AGENDA
 
1. To receive apologies for absence and reasons given i.a.w. Local Government Act 1972, Sch 12, para 40. 
2. To receive declarations of interest and to consider applications in relation to Disclosable Pecuniary Interests.   Disclosure of pecuniary and non-pecuniary interests is to be in accordance with the Localism Act 2011. The need for disclosure is to be based upon agenda items, or at any suitable time during a meeting when it becomes apparent to a Member.
3. Notes of the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council, and Ordinary Meeting of the Parish Council held on Monday 13th May 2024 to be approved as Minutes of the Meeting. (DG)
4. Financial Matters - All Councillors have a continuous opportunity to review everything on the Accounting system.
a. Approve the payments made since the last meeting. (LF) Attached
b. Approve the payment of invoices etc. as listed on the “Payments to be Authorised” sheet. (LF) Attached
c. Approve the bank reconciliation from the previous month. (LF) Attached
d. To review the latest Summary of “Reserves” balances.  (LF) Attached
e. Information from Clerk regarding SSE electricity bills.
f. Water test thermometer purchased.  Monthly checks being done but slight issue over the heating of the water. 
    The water heater does not get hot enough, when on full, to do a valid Legionnaires test.  Resolution to purchase a new heater at £143.33 plus installation. (LF)
g. Ongoing - painting a yellow “hazard” line along the edge of the footpath alongside the tennis court - SR has the work in hand, along with the painting of the fences and benches (as per his contract).
5. Planning Applications:  24/0285 – discharge of some conditions re development at Manor Farm – pending consideration.    24/0584 – Application to vary conditions at land to the rear of 20 Willow Lane – pending consideration. 24/0627 – non-material amendment to change from car port to garage at 38A Sleaford Road.
6. Old School House – no further bookings as yet (potentially a 40th anniversary party).  I have put posts on Cranwell and Sleaford Facebook pages and asked District Cllrs to advise NK of its availability.
7. Pavilion – update on works re cabins.   (DG/DW)
8. Bowls and Football hire agreements.    Both have had their agreements and slight amendments have been made.
9. Bowls Club groundworks – gap, patio, and access to disabled toilet. Resolutions as to works to be done. (DW).
10. Dates of 2025 meetings – list of dates previously circulated.  Resolution to agree same. (LF)
11.To receive reports on all road safety matters. (DG)
12. Update on moving signage for play area.  (DG/DW)
13. Parishioner has asked if we can put in a new dog bin at the alley between Guthram Court and Selvalyn Close?  There was one there, but it rotted away and was never replaced. Cost of bin is £115.68 net, then it has to be emptied by us.
14. Any update on RAF holding Officers help in the area? (DG)
15. Update on signage for litter pickers (LF/DG)
16. To receive reports from Councillors on their various Areas of Responsibility.  
17. Next P.C. meeting date to be confirmed as Monday  8th July at 7.00 p.m.
